Hem — Standard
Single or double layer, plain finish, set against the shoes you will actually wear.
Hem — Lace, Horsehair or Multi-Layer
Lace re-applied along the new edge, or gowns with three or more layers. Slow, hand-finished work.
Take In or Let Out — Side Seams
Bodice and waist adjusted, lining and boning re-set to match.
Take In — Beaded or Lace Bodice
Beading lifted by hand, seam adjusted, then re-applied so the pattern still reads as continuous. Heavy Indian and sequinned gowns welcome.
Bustle
French, American or ballroom. We try several on you and you pick the one you love.
Zipper Replacement
Invisible or lapped, matched to the gown. Quoted before we touch it — never a surprise on your bill.
Straps or Sleeves Added
Built from matching fabric or lace lifted from elsewhere on the gown.
Neckline Reshaping
Raised, lowered, or changed entirely — sweetheart to straight, V to square.
Corset Back Conversion
Zipper replaced with a lace-up back and modesty panel. Builds in flexibility if your size may still move.
Cups Sewn In
Fitted and placed on you, not guessed from the size label.
Full Bodice Restructure
Boning, waist stay and internal support rebuilt so the gown holds itself up.
Complete Transformation
When the gown needs to become a different dress. A recent transformation of this scale came to roughly $1,400.

Full professional press before collection. Included with any alteration package.
