Karmen is the absolute best at what she does. Her work, dedication and style are just a few things to love about her. She is warm, welcoming and down to earth and that made it so easy to feel at home with her. She made dresses for my mom, sister and I for a birthday party I am throwing for my sister. She listened to us, got the color scheme and desires of each of us and drew the most beautiful dresses for us. She was responsive, John was super helpful throughout the fabric buying process and coordination and together they made our vision come true. She then customized the dresses to fit us. We went to 3 fittings and the third one the dress was done. Stitches, seams and material all perfect. She did all this in record time. There isn’t a single person I have met who can do what she does, the way she does it. We love our dresses and we can’t wait to get more made. Karmen absolutely saved my wedding dress when my original alterations woman (ranked one of the top in DFW) bailed on me at what I thought was going to be my follow-up fitting, with less than a month before the wedding. Seeing Karmen’s amazing reviews, I sent her an inquiry explaining my tight timeline, and she responded promptly (despite being on vacation) in such a reassuring way. When my daughter and I arrived for the fitting, we immediately realized we were in the presence of an artist who has designed incredible gowns here and abroad. Not only did she work around my work schedule for setting the fitting and pick-up, but she also managed to complete the alterations in a week without charging exorbitant rush fees as others do. Karmen & John were a pleasure to work with. I came to them a few weeks before my wedding because my original wedding dress maker messed up my wedding dress completely. From the very first meet up Karmen was already on it. Had the vision, knew exactly what to do to make sure it fit me and was to my perfect proportions. We started immediately and we were done within weeks - Karmen’s attention to detail shows just how much of a perfectionist she is. Every part of my dress from the front to the last point of my train was done with delicacy, patience but most importantly her hands. Even when she could have opted for a sewing machine to get to perfection she used her hands & a needle. Karmen knows exactly what she is doing & rest assure your dress will be safe in her hands. Weddings are hectic & stressful, but I can guarantee your dress is one less thing to worry about with Karmen as the designer. John will make sure everything is in a timely manner & Karmen sticks to the time exactly if not sooner. My dress was beyond perfect & more than what I expected. Better yet - it looked better than the picture I brought in. The picture was a more of an inspiration & a vision. What Karmen brought to life was a masterpiece and a work of art that only she could create & no one can truthfully replicate. I literally cried when I saw the final product. I am forever grateful to Karmen & John & the amazing service they provided. If I could recommend every bride to them I truly would. 1000/10! My wedding is in a few weeks & I will be uploading pictures as well. But for now, please take my word - you will never regret choosing her to make your dresses.
